Kachinas.

DORA TAYLOR
$97.00
This is a very nice carving by DORA TAYLOR. Dora comes from the Shonto area of the Navajo Nation and is known as a very fine Kachina Doll artist among her people. Dora calls this piece OWL-MONGWA. Mongwa means Great Horned Owl. The Owl Kachina appears in the Mixed Kachina Dance, or in an ordinary Kachina Dance where he spies on the Clown Kachinas. At First Mesa, he takes part in the Bean Dance and in the Water Serpent Ceremony.

This Kachina stands 14 inches from the base to the top of the headfeathers. As always Dora has paid very close attention to detail when making this piece. This piece has been signed by the artist on the bottom of the base. If you would like to see more photos of this piece, contact me and I will email them to your address.

This Kachina is 100% authentic 100% handmade by a Native American person. This item was made in the USA. We offer a 30 day money back guarantee. If you have any questions about this item email me at FEBANKS@4cornersindianart.com.

SOLD = F. Marshall, La Jolla, Ca.
